Abi is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from South London with a passion for performance. She’s released three singles and an EP, Standing Ground, to critical acclaim, and is now working on new material, to be released later this year.
Abi’s unique style merges folk, pop and electronica and her influences range from Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks to Muse, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and beyond. Weaving beautifully emotive stories through her songs, her elegant, haunting tones sometimes give way to powerful, dramatic expression, and while her melodies are born of great musicality, her lyrics are equally important in offering her audience much more than just a simple pop song.
Abi’s studio work is matched by stellar live performances, with gigs at venues all over London, including Underbelly, Sebright Arms, The Bedford, Ronnie Scott’s and Pixie Lott’s Ella Guru Sessions. She has worked extensively with producers Steve Anderson and Terry Ronald (Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud, Britney Spears, Take That) who have collaborated with her both on her EP and on her upcoming album, and her music has been featured Radio 2 on both Alan Carr and Michael Ball’s shows.
